Fine Arts Diploma Overview
This three-year (full-time) program is designed to accommodate a wide variety of students including recent high school graduates, people in mid-career in unrelated fields, and developing artists with one, two, or three years at another institution. Students must be either a Canadian citizen, landed immigrant, or international visa student. Admission is based on a strong portfolio and a serious desire to complete or further one’s education. Students may study on a full-time or part-time basis. Part-time students should inquire about limitations, if any, on the time required to complete the program. Full-time status requires that students take eight courses during both the fall and winter terms.

A minimum of 20 credits is required to graduate. Full-time students are advised to complete eight courses during the first year, seven in the second and five in the third year. One credit is acquired for successfully completing two consecutive terms (24 weeks in total) of a course, usually during the fall and winter terms. Part-time students study at their own pace. Please call the school or visit the Web site for application information. While it is recommended that students begin the program in September, students may be accepted in January.
